Konqueror can write to samba share, Gnome can't
Are we getting tired of all my threads yet?
I have, as always, tried to research this one to all ends. Here's the sitch...
I am using Gnome desktop, and I have an XP box on my home network. It's in fstab, as you will see below, and it mounts at boot as it should.
If I use Konqueror to browse the XP box, I can read/write all I want to anywhere. Good. However, if I use Nautilus or either Konsole or Gnome terminal, I get the good old "permission denied."
Here is my fstab...
//192.168.1.100/Aimee /mnt/aimee smbfs username=******,password=******,dmask=777,fmask=777,rw 0 0
I know it probably has more in it than it needs, but I've tried all sorts of combinations to no avail and this is just where I gave up. Any ideas?
Let me know if you need more info...
