Koffice 2.0 on mandriva 2009 installation problem
Hi everyone,
I just downloaded the 2.0.0.tar.bz2 version of koffice from the official website. I successfully (I think) decompress the file into a temp folder on my hard drive. Now what i have is a series of folder (19) but none contain any installation file. No configure file or others. The only two readme file contains no useful information about installation. There is anyway several file of this type: config-largefiles.h.cmake and others with only cmake. Could please someone tell mw how to install this software? Do I have to download a different version? Thanks in advance for any help regarding this matter!!!!!! |
What distro are you using? It is already in some package trees

Furthermore on the new KDE desktop I cannot find the function (find software which was present on the previous versions) so I don't know how to look for a copy of koffice on the dvd. I hope I've been clear enough in my explanation:redface: |
Is the machine online? KOffice (new) only came out in April, so it depends when you grabbed the installation disk.
Can you not do a Code:
urpmq koffice |
6th line of the README: http://wiki.koffice.org/index.php?title=Build_KOffice
|
I'll try to do that and I'll post my finding. By now thanks very much!
