Well that depends, where did you get that information from? What program told you that?

Some network intrusion monitor detected that somebody tries to send you a network packet of data which is known to cause malfunction in some versions of software.

what does "\\x90\\x90\\x90\\x90" do? what should i do (some tips) to avoid it? could it be possible that that packet of data is already causing malfunction in the system?

That is an old Windows IIS exploit that doesn't affect Linux. I think it is the Code Red worm, but I may be wrong about that.
