Knoppix scrambled video

I can successfully boot with knoppix, but when linux goes to load the screen becomes scrambled. I've tried different screen resolutions to only change the scramble. My guess would possibly be a refresh rate problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have u checked out for the VGA drivers and your monitor compatibility

Thanks! it appears to be a problem that I don't currently have more time to work out. Changing the video card worked just fine. The problem seems to be with the Deskpro and it's built in 82815 video.

I am having this same problem and so far haven't been able to find an answer. I do not have another video card to use and I'm not sure how to find out what kind of card I currently have. I have tried booting using failsafe and the screen is still scrambled. Can someone please tell me where to begin with this problem? I am very new to Linux and I don't really know anything except how to boot using a disk. I do get the "you passed an undefined mode number" error before start up.

I appreciate any help.
