knoppix live cd
 

Hi i am using the knoppix for the first time, and its a live cd. I have not done the installation of knoppix, so how to assign or know the password of a root.

I also want to install alien.
i tried to use apt-get install alien

it says you are not root

hi i got the answer for this question and so thread can be closed.

we just have to use su to become root.
