Cool knoppix kills programs

I am running the latest version of Knoppix and it was working great for me until it decided to kill Gaim and Mozilla on me when all I did was click somewhere on the program that was not anywhere near anything that should kill the program. Thankfully nothing major has been lost but it is still annoying none the less. Other info you might want: I also put 500MB on my hardrive for knoppix to use as a home directory so that I could save my settings. I did this through the built in GUI utility within Knoppix its self. The OS never dies and I never loose keyboard or mouse just the program dies. Another note all programs running die not just one.

Thanx ahead of time for any help,
Damon

Try using Knoppix 3.3 or 3.2 instead. There's been some problems reported over at knoppix.net regarding mouse overs and programs like xine when using Knoppix 3.4 (kernel 2.6).

Thx

That sounds real similar to what was happening to me. I haven't tried Xzine on here yet but Gaim died on me more than once.
