I have been converted! I've been trying out the Knoppix DVD, and now it's time to move it to my hard drive... there are just too many restrictions having it on a single write disc. But there are some kinks I haven't been able to work out so switching over completely and ditching windows for good isn't an option yet. I have two partitions, one with my Windows XP Pro install, and another one that was just being used for storing files. The question is, can I install Knoppix onto the second partition and sucessfully have a dual boot system, or will it give me trouble? I've heard all kinds of things, like needing to install it on the first 8 gigs on your HD, and all sorts of stuff...

I need very basic, step-by-step instructions if you have them to give... I'm not the most linux-literate person in the world.
