Knoppix

www.knoppix.net

I just had to post this because this is one of the coolest things ive ever seen!

You just burn one(1) ISO image to a cd and you can boot somthing called Knoppix which is linux.. but is adjust and has alot of things already installed that you need for linux and like. This is very cool because linux kept having problems when i triede to install it on my laptop and Knoppix worked like a charm(Im on it now)

I just thought id tell you this because it awesome

(BTW you always have to boot from the cd... thats the only bad part....)

Nope, you can install Knoppix to the hard drive. Drop to a command line and execute knx-hdinstall

At least, I think that's the command. It will install itself after running through some simple partitioning setup.

Knoppix has been around for a little while, and it is pretty nice. In fact, I use it as my rescue disk. A bit overblown for a rescue, but it works.
