Question Knobbix mount my harddisk-linux

Hi!

I wanna mount my suse8.0-distro through knobbix
but i cant access any user/root files.

mounting works fine, heres fstab for info :

Quote:
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
none /dev/pts devpts mode=0622 0 0
/dev/fd0 /mnt/auto/floppy auto user,noauto,exec,umask=000 0 0
/dev/cdrom /mnt/auto/cdrom auto user,noauto,exec,ro 0 0
/dev/cdrom1 /mnt/auto/cdrom1 auto user,noauto,exec,ro 0 0
/dev/hdc1 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/hdc2 /mnt/hdc2 auto noauto,user,exec 0 0
Do i have to setup the users from the Suse-Distro in the Knoppix-Distro

What does mount say when you run it without arguments?

You should be root to access other partitions, or your UID (number) should match the one on the other partition.

Does knoppix support the filesystem SuSE is using? You can check this with
cat /proc/filesystems

Can you tell exactly at which point things go wrong?

I can mount /dev/hdc2 as normal user in knoppix, but then
i cant access the user-root section.

How can i give the user the same privileges for dev/hdc2
as the root has?

Adding 'ro' in fstab?
