Kmail Question

My problem is that my KDE reports it sends mail and I see them in the sent folder afterwards. I am not getting all my mail on the other end though.

Could this be my Earthlink provider or a bad setup in POP settings or something else?

Any ideas to point me searching would help. Thanks.

By the way, this is a great forum as there seem to be few good ones about. SuSE's English forum seems dead.

Hard to say without looking into it deeper. Is it sending something or just nothing? Can you send with other Linux mail program with the same settings (from Mozilla, for example)?

kmail amiss

My mail works fine in Mozilla. Both send and receive took 30 seconds.

Kmail on the other hand shows a folder full of sent messages which have not actually been sent. Are they on theEarthlink server? or are my Kmail settings wrong? Still why are they shown as sent beats me.

Frustrating, but will lose Mozilla till can figure otherwise.

Thanks for theeasy troubleshoot tip.

kmail solved

my error.

In the kmail settings under settings: configure: kmail...

Under network: sending mail I had for smtp=local host.

So i had been sending messages the past two weeks to nowhere.

Kde's Incoming and Outgoing mail setting blocks are two dissimilar forms which caused me to overlook the error.

Something so important should have been tested by me beforehand.
