Kmail can't execute sendmail
I've got a new installation of Fedora Core 2 and I'm trying to set up email the same way as my old RH 7.2 box. I've set up sendmail and fetchmail to send/receive messages from my ISP. That all seems to work fine, and I can send and receive messages from Evolution, and I can reveive messages in Kmail.
The problems is that whenever I try to send a message from Kmail, it instantly responds with 'Cannot execute /usr/sbin/sendmail' and the message sits in Kmail's outbox without entering /var/spool/mqueue. /usr/sbin/sendmail exists ( -> /usr/alternatives/mta -> /usr/sbin/sendmail.sendmail) and /usr/sbin/sendmail is SUID root. So, can anyone please suggest how to fix this? I don't think it's a sendmail problem, as it works fine with Evolution. Thanks, Neil. |
