Kivio comments? aka Visio? I'm in gnome redhat.

Hi,
I would want to stay in Linux to work in Visio (or close to it).
Kivio?
First off I forget how to switch from gnome to KDE... <mental block>
I should be able to run a kde app from gnome as I can run k3b...

Sorry for being so lazy tonight. I want to boot to KDE to test the install.
<or>
I'd rather stay in gnome if it will work.
Either answer will potentially save me alot of grief.

Many Thanks,
If this is a quick answer for you I would truly appreciate it
:)

I don't know whether your distro installs it by default
or not ... slack (in other words, a default KDE install)
won't. You can probably get an RPM for it, when it's
installed just open a shell and type kivio<enter> :}

Alternatively (to save yourself the hassle of 30MB
of RAM wasted on a single product just because it
needs to bring up the entire framework [count your
kdeinit's ;}]) find a dia-rpm ... it's gtk based.

Cheers,
Tink

dia is a much better solution, I'm glad I asked.
Thankyou :)

null problemo :)

Most welcome! Personally I'm particularly
fond of the interfaces between dia and postgres :)

Extracting schema info into a dia-map or creating
a database from a dia-drawing.

I'm looking at UML. Way kewl.
But better yet with Unified Process ((R)UP).

This dia is great so far and yes I already had it installed.
Hmmm. If you can access postgres mebbe I can access Oracle.

<alar heads back to dia>

Again thankyou!!!

:)
