Smile keyboard problem in setup

Hi, im very much of a newbie here... i got a small problem because i can't install on my box because when i get into the setup process of any disto my keyboard doesn't work...

although it has an existing win XP running on it & the keyboard works fine so i just can't figure out the problem...

i've tried ubuntu 6.06, edubuntu 6.06, opensuse 10.1, fedora caore 5 (live cd)...

in ubuntu/edubuntu the initial option i could still use my keyboard to choose to install, check cd or memory test.

my box...

Intel Pentium 3 733Mhz
Asus P3B-F
512MB ram
40GB seagate HDD

advance thanks for the help!
