First, spell out your words, and don't tell us to hurry up and answer. We are volunteers here.

Second, if you'd like help, you'll have to provide information. You say nothing about your hardware, version/distro of Linux, what desktop environment, or anything else. Has this ever worked?? Anything change recently??

Welcome to LQ!

You do need to provide additional information for anyone to aid in diagnosis of the problem. If this happens to be a new install of a distribution then you most likely need to check the '/var/log/Xorg.0.log' to get some helpful information. You have ruled out a hardware error for the keyboard & mouse so the problem is most likely a configuration setup.

Please post; Distribution, kernel in use, the '/var/log/Xorg.0.log' within the vbcode tags (# or quote). If you have long lists you could use pastebin by pasting into the bin then linking.

'How to Ask Questions the Smart Way' is something you should read to aid the formation of intelligent queries.
