Keyboard Issue In Winlinux

So I'm brand new to the whole Linux world, looking to whet my appetite, installed WInlinux as a catious first step, but for some reason my keyboard doesn't work at all when I try to log in. It works on exit from KDE (i think, excuse my ignorance, new new newbie speaking), but no keys work in the login screen. mosue works, and I've checked in the configuration util and it detected the keyboard, and it's not disabled oranything foolish. Any ideas?
Any help would be appriciated.:Pengy:

What did it detect your keyboard as ?
That might provide a clue as a starting point.

Detected Keyboard

It detected the keyboard as US layout or whatever. I'm at work and not at home right now (distance troubleshooting isn't really worth my while I know, but I'm frustrated and bored!)

In the winlinux configuration utility (in windows) It should tell you what it was detected as. There are a couple of defaults that the program falls back to if the device isnt listed in the device lists. Im not much for USB suppport but I dont think that winlinux has much support for it either. If your keyboard is USB or wireless look through the keyboard list in the C:\Linux\winlinux folder to find a better match for your hardware and then force the setting for that item.

I'm shooting in the dark at this point without out any thing to go on; other than, WinLinux set your keyboard as the default type.
