Keyboard drivers

I am running a directfb demo on a Texas-Instruments Da-vinci development board. The demo should respond to keyboard keypresses but does not.
The board runs the Monta Vista OS.

How can I find out if the keyboard drivers are present and working ok for this demo board?

Thanks

harry
