Keyboard characters mixup
 
Characters layout and switching languages as Ubuntu 8.04 administrator is no problem for me. But other users in this desktop can't get their set of characters right. Spanish keyboard. Languages used: Spanish & English. Is there a fix?

The keyboard settings that you set as the root user won't apply for the other users in the system. Each user must set their own keyboard settings by running 'gnome-keyboard-properties' (or running it from the system preferences menu in Ubuntu).
