keybindings

Hi

I can't find anywhere to modify global keybindings for my ubuntu installation

Basically the shift and alt key would provide specific functions for the app i was running (world of warcraft under wine) but after installing virtual box and some other software these keys no longer work

I also cant use the alt key to access extended ascii, such as..á (alt+160)

I've gone thru gnome, system > admin > keyboard but can't find anything that is specifically taken for just the alt key, or shift key for that matter

Can anyone please advise me where else to check>? (cant find anyhting in virtual box either)

Regards

In terminal, type "gconf-editor". Goto /apps/metacity/global_keybindings

Look around there, I remember it's very near the place. Good luck :P. (I uninstalled ubuntu yesterday 'cause firefox's loading speed 's too slow. Trying fedora 9 :) )
