Kerrnel Logging


I need to enable Logging in my Kernel source code before i compile it.

i use the following command

#make menuconfig ARCH=arm

but i can not find any entry for log or kernel logging etc.
can any buddy help me with it.

As far as I know, kernel logging is made in userland, that's why you do not need to set up any configuration option for it, see "man klogd" and "man syslogd".

I would only check "Show timing information on printks" and "Enable verbose x86 bootup info messages" in the "Kernel hacking" configuration menu.

EDIT Probably the last one is not relevant for ARM, just review all options in the "Kernel hacking" menu.
