kernel panic
hi all....
I am facing problem in linux booting... I am using RH 9... While selecting LINUX from boot loader my system gets stuck and it shows a message at the end of line as follows:- kernel panic: no iniit found try passing init= option to kernel Even i have tried to upgrade it, but it shows following message:- Error: /dev/hda9 cannot be mounted file system type is invalid.... I want to recover everything without reinstalling it.... because i have saved some important file in my user directory.... PLzzzzz help me out..... thanks in advance............... |

When did RH stopped to funcion? what FS is hda9? anyway, if your problem is just the important files, try using knoppix to boot and mount the partition and them record a cd or something like that |
