/kernel/drivers/ata : No such file or directory

This message gets shown after make install:

Code:
/lib/modules/2.6.35.13/kernel/drivers/ata': No such file or directory
I set to '[*]' the "Generic ATA support" under "Serial ATA and Parallel ATA driver" (make menuconfig), but that's of no avail.

Please guide.
