kernel compiling problem (need to activated acpi)


hi everybody, i've try to kompiling my kernel source, try to enable acpi in my kernel (coz i using tux in my laptop).

when i type
make xconfig get this error mesg, can anyone help me out, plz.

You need to install tcl. Look on your cd for it.
If it's not on your cd you can download it here:

thanks bro i've try to install tcl from my mady cd, as soon as i get home.
if there's still a problem i'll come again

bro do u know where to get the lattest kernel-HOWTO.
isearch google and far as i get is only linux kernel HOWTO for kernel version 2.2.0-rc3. which the option in linux kernel compiling is not the same as 2.4.22, can u show me where i could get ???
i need a guide for linux kernel compiling options

Include support for stuff freely, then gradually take stuff off, little by little, so you can know what you broke if something happens. Note that some stuff may conflict with other stuff, so it is not just leaving out stuff you need you have to worry about.

i got a linux kernel from a GNU e-book securing and optimasion linux (from tldp.org, but the sample is for redhat will it be the same if i appliying from that book from my mandy system?

bro, mind if u help me? i interested on KDE-bluetooth on http://kde-bluetooth.sourceforge.net .
but i dont know which file to download and can u show me how to install program from a webcvs file? coz there's no source tarball nor .rpm file for kde-bluetooth.

bro about to dl n install from cvs... is to type the command in the terminal ??

and i still got error while i compiling kernel source (step make bzImage) can u tell me what else do i have to do or install ? I try to enabling ACPI and turn off APIC support on uniprocessor and add midi to my sound device, and also add BT support to my kernel...
