kedit in suse 9 pro
when i try to use the command, it says it's not found. which package do i have to install to get it?
|
Curious, sounds like an upgrade bug.
http://www.madisonlinux.org/pipermai...ry/007937.html You should be able to fire up Yast and do a search for packages to locate kedit. Otherwise, it's in the kdeutils rpm ftp://ftp.rutgers.edu/pub/kde/stable/3.2/SuSE/ix86/9.0/ John |
Once you discover kate/kwrite, kedit seems wholly unneccessary :-)
|
can i do the same thing as kedit with kwrite or something?
|
Shore... :)

kwrite is a component of kate, so therefore doesn't have some of the features with full-blown kate (such as project manager, integrated console, etc.), but has most of the important ones like syntax highlighting, tab markers, etc. All this, and it loads just about as fast as kedit :-)
