kdeinit can't be contacted

okay well I just did an installation of Slackware 9.1 on a computer and everything was going well until I typed 'startx' after I logged in as root.

It said that KDE couldn't be started and that I should check my installation. I pressed 'okay' and it brought me back to the command prompt where I got this

Code:
startkde: Starting up...
kreadconfig: error while loading shared libraries: libqt-mt.so.3: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory
ksplash: error while loading shared libraries: libqt-mt.so.3: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory
kdeinit: error while loading shared libraries: libqt-mt.so.3: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory
startkde: Could not start kdeinit. Check your installation.
Warning: connect() failed: : No such file or directory
ksmserver: error while loading shared libraries: libqt-mt.so.3: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory
startkde: Shutting down...
Warning: connect() failed: : No such file or directory
Error: Can't contact kdeinit!
startkde: Running shutdown scripts...
kde-config: error while loading shared libraries: libqt-mt.so.3: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory
startkde: Done.
if you know what could be wrong please help me I really don't wanna have to reinstall Slackware again it takes too long selecting what I want lol
