KDE Uninstall
I need to know how to uninstall KDE. I have had a faulty installation, and need to know how to uninstall it so I can reinstall properly. I have Fedora Core 2.
Thanks, JS |
insert the first CD of Fedora Core.
You will then be presented with the add/remove programs display. Uncheck KDE and then it will uninstall. |
Excellent. I will let you know how it goes. Thanks for the quick answer.

When I inserted the first disk I didnt receive an Add/Remove display of any kind... Please help if possible.

This didnt work. Anyone have any other ideas on how to remove KDE so I can reinstall it?
JS |
click on the "Add/remove Applications" from the "settings" menu
|
That doesnt allow you to remove the installation of KDE. That just allows you to remove the extra components.
JS |
reinstall KDE on top of itself...........the "bad" files will be
overwritten by the "new" ones. |
Now how would you recommend I do that?
I dont know any way to install KDE other than through the add/remove option and it certainly doesnt allow me to reinstall from there. I am going to assume this is going to have to do with running a certain RPM from the disc 1 or something. Please let me know how I should go about this. I hadnt even thought of re-installing over the top I am ashamed of myself hehe. I guess I just threw everything I have learned out the door when I got on linux thinking everything was different or something. JS |
