kde shorcut to minimise all windows
 
hi,

i jus wat to know is there any specific short cut for kde which i can use to minimise all the windows , i know there is a icon over there in the taksbar, but i need to know the keyboard short cut, is there anymethod to create that if we dont have, and iam using mandrake linux 9.1 .

in kde i know a work around, if u right click the icon and hit properties, under execute it should give u the command that calls it. then edit kmenu and add that command to the menu and create a shortcut key there. i'm sure there is another way, but that is the quickest way i could think of

hi friend,

thanks for replying, and i just right clicked that "show desktop icon" in the task bar, but it doest show a properties option there, as with the other items, for others i see a properties, for this onw i couldnt see one, i dont know why is that so?

i see only 3 menus when i right click the show desktop button
1. move show desktop button
2.remove show desktop button
3.panel menu

and i didnt see any properties when i go thru that panel menu too, so can u explain it plz..

You can set it up yourself with the KDE configuration - there is a menu for it. Also, MenuDrake allows you to assign shortcuts for programs in the menus.
I have Minimize set as Win + Keyp [-] and maximize as Win + keyp [+].

Hi archu,

The default for KDE to minimize all apps is

ctrl+alt+d

You can configure it in KDE Control Panel > Regional & Accessability > Keyboard Shortcuts
