KDE screen size on Mandrake
Hi all,
It's my first day using linux (Mandrake 10) after installing it last night. I thought I originally had a resolution problem because the desktop area is larger than my screen size, so I can scroll up and down - left and right by moving my mouse to the edge of the screen. I'd like the have the whole desktop fit inside my screen so this doesn't happen, but all changing my resolution does is make this scrolling area larger. Sorry for such a simple question - but I can't find anything that will halp me after looking through mandrake help, kde help, and this forum! Thanks |
the problem is in your X11 configuration. I think the option is caled virtual screen, or digital screen, or something like that. whathever, you must UNselect it. In your X server configuration. It is 1 year i don't use mandrake, so i don't remember verry wel, but it shoulb be that.

I'm sorry - but I still can't find out how to change this. I was looking at some of the other threads on the forum that we're talking about this problem - but none of them really explained what I need to do. Here is the contents of my XF86Config-4 File:
