KDE program running under GNOME???
Does anyone know if it is possible to have a program written for KDE running under GNOME? I want the "Kstars" program from their Edutainment package (http://edu.kde.org/kstars/ ), but I use GNOME as my GUI of choice and have everything set up for that.
Is it possible to have programs written for one GUI to run in another??? Thanks. :newbie: |
Yes thats normal. All you need is the kdelibs installed and it will run.

KDE is fully installed although I don't use it as I did a full install of Slackware 9.1. I take it that that would include the KDE libs?

Thats correct. You can just start kstars. Either create a menu entry for it or type kstars into a console.

Excellent, thanks I'll try that tonight. :jawa:
