KDE / Power Management in FC2
I have a Dell Latitude D600 running Fedora Core 2 and KDE. After sitting for a while, the screen saver (just a blank screen as I have it set) comes on, and then the screen actually turns off.
I just went back to the Dell and tried to plug in a mouse and get to work and it was frozen with the screen off. I wonder if this was 1) Power management in Linux that turned the screen off? 2) Something in the Dell's bios that turned the screen off? I ask because if there is a conflict that caused the hang I want to disable whatever caused it - and I wonder if it was some power management scheme that also shut the screen off. |
