I want to move the Location: info up to the main toolbar.
That is, I do not want a separate Location toolbar, thus saving another 15mm of screen.
[ no,,, Santa is not bringing me a new 20" monitor ]
In MS Exploder and Firefox, you simply drag the toolbar item to wherever desired, and thats it. Konqueror simply ignores any attempts to move tool items, and refuses to add the Location: item.
Google provided a lot of Konqueror poop, but nothing applicable to this problem. Any ideas ?
Are you talking about adding the location bar to the main toolbar that has the forward and back buttons? If so dragging and dropping the location bar onto the main toolbar works fine for me. It matters where you drop the bar onto the main toolbar.
Yes, exactly. If I D&D to the main toolbar, it does nothing. So, I turn the Location toolbar OFF, then try to ADD the Location tool item to the MAIN toolbar,, nothing. Strange, but it allows me to add the ClearLocation (black arrow thing) to MAIN.
No,,,, the last item on the far right is the KDE-spinning-wheel. No matter where I try to drop the Location toolbar, it is ignored.
...work-in-progress... removing the spinning-wheel...
Now D&D the Location toolbar to the end of the MAIN toolbar, and voila ! Everything on one toolbar.
When we get to the pub, I owe you one !
Thank you Sir.
