Kde Issues

Hi
I am learning how to create user groups and everything along with setting file permissions and all.
I have a couple of questions
1> What is the difference between KDE User Manager and Red Hat User Manager. Which one should i be using to create user groups.
2> How can i specify directories for a user group.
3> I had created a user name xyz. I ususally log on as that user and do my work.
Now when i log on as a root how can i view folders of xyz user.
Thanks

1> They are both graphical frontends for the command line tools. it shouldn't matter which you use pick the one you like best or use the command line(preferred)

2> chown root:yourgroup /the/directory

3> root should be able to see the files already
