KDE fileselection by single click

Hi

Just doing some User Action Notation stuff on KDE, and well ... i want to mass select some icons, but not using dragging a box around it, AND the whole clicking of to the side of the filename isn't doing it for me.

IN windows you can single click a file to select, and double click to open.
IN KDE you single click to open a file, and click on the same line as the file (but not the filename) to select it

Question:
IS there a way to make it single click to select, and double click to open?

This is KDE 3.2.2, updating soonish to 3.2.3 ... maybe this afternoon, i'm sure this won't change too much in the two versions anyway.

Ta Muchly
