Kde control center cant find config.in

I've just finished a kernel upgrade to 2.6.3
Everything by the book.
But it seems that the kernel's config.in files are missing.
I've tried a search for them, and all i can come up with, are the old ones.
Has anyone any idea how to fix this, it would be great. Thanx

I'm bumping this up since I am experiencing something similar with Slackware 10 and the 2.6.8.1 Kernel along with KDE 3.3.0. I've found answers that the kde source package needs to be installed or reinstalled, but I'm not 100% certain whether that's the right course of action. If someone could shed some light it would definately help out!
