Set your default runlevel to 5 from 3 if your using Redhat, Mandrake, Suse and about every other distro.
If your using Slackware, set the default to runlevel 4 from 3. This is all done by editing your /etc/inittab file. |
If Mandrake 9.0 is like the others, you could run the Mandrake Control Center program. Select Hardware, then Display. After selecting the resolution you want, probably the same, it will ask if you want to automatically start X upon rebooting.
This tool is available from the command line. As root launch the XFDrake command. |
