KDE access hard disk every 3 seconds

Hi.

I'm on redhat 8.0, with KDE.
If I login with KDE, then my harddisk actives every 3 seconds (estimated).
It does not happen before I login, or I work only on consoles (Alt F1-F6).

How can I get rid of it ?

Thanks in advance.

checkout
man bdflush
or you should open kprocess or ktop, i can't remember
the name, or just top
and see what process is writing to disk. The writes will
at least take some cpu time, so if you sort top by cpu
time used, you may see your enemy.

Hi.

Something happened, my computer crashed.
I reinstalled Redhat 8.0, and the problem vanished.

Not a clever solution but at least i got rid off it :)
