KDE 4 desktop save

Once I have my various applications windows open, and by various desktops laid out the way I want them, how do I "save" that configuration so that KDE starts up the same each time?

I am working in a networked environment, and would like the same presentation as I move around from machine to machine. My HOME directory is NFS mounted.

Also, I've googled around KDE stuff, but haven't found any concise documentation, such as tables of commands, etc. Any links and pointers are welcome. Thanks.

The settings that you want are in System settings > Startup and Shutdown > Session Mangement (or at least they are in 4.5.1; earlier versions will be earlier!). Can't say that I know exactly which of those that you are asking for, but you should be able to work it out from there.
