kde 3.2.2 compile

how long does it take to compile? i read somewhere it takes 4 hours. is this true?

how long does it usually take to compile my own programs. like mplayer and such?

Basically it depends on the speed of your box.
With my 2.6 ghz 1G RAM it took (whole package) almost 2 hours. (creating binaries for slack as well).
