This does not compute!

Come on, we all know there is a bunch of noobs who think Kali is cool, they really have no clue what to do with it, some of them even try to run it as a regular distro for everyday tasks.

Talking

Come on, we all started somewhere, just luckily for most of us, it was before the Mr Robot Hypez!

We love Linux for Linux, not the fact it can make us Leet Hackerz, but a question asked is a question asked. At least they knew what .bashrc was, so there is a ray of hope in the darkness

That is exactly my point. I am not trying to make fun of OP for using Kali. Rather, I would like the OP to start with a distro (and there are a plethora out there) more suited for beginners. Again, I quote the official Kali documentation:

I would even go further and suggest that you really, REALLY, should not use Kali Linux if you are a "newbie" (I prefer the term beginner myself, as it sounds less derogatory). Not least because you might get a skewed perception of the root account, because:

So, you are in fact mucking about as root ALL THE TIME. This is NOT normal practice, but it works for Kali Linux.

I quite enjoy Mr. Robot myself (although as of late I have grown tired of some of the "dramatic tricks"), but the show portrays a group of HIGHLY SKILLED (fictional) crackers (not "hackers", what is hacking? read here). Even though they are fictional characters, I dare say that they did not start their "career" using Kali Linux.

Best regards,
HMW
