Kali Linux 1.1.0 How to disable Sleep/Hibernate completely.
Im not sure if anyone has already asked this question but i would really like to know how to disable Sleep/Hibernate completely and persistently on a Kali Linux 1.1.0 System running dual boot on a Macbook Pro Mid 2009.

it is in the screensaver and power settings
just set it to never ( or 6 hours) |
It only allows for 1 hour as the maximum.

I am a newbie so be gentle. I am running KALI linux in VMware. I can not find where to find screensaver or power settings. Where are they located?

Hi dropframe
first if you are using Kali 1 S T O P !!! NOW!!!! the current is 2.0 next what desktop manager are you using ? Gnome3 or the non default KDE4 or one of the other desktop managers i am guessing Gnome3 BUT!!! with using a VM this might be the failsafe "fall back" gnome shell so what are you using gnome3 on the left is a tool bar on the bottom is the tool menu ( show applacations) this brings up a rather crappy "windows metro" tile set -- i hate that with a passion ( gnome3's metro look that is) the OS system tools are in there or in the on/ off menu ( top right) the tool options are in there this is a NORMAL but tweaked Gnome3 desktop ( gnome2 was GREAT - 3 is crap) the power settings menu from the tool options in the user tools ( top right) |
