I am trying to burn an iso image to a cd. The problem is that when i try to configure K3b i can not find my CD-DVD Writer so i get a message that only the image will be burned
Any ideas?

Strange, that it cannot find the burner, yet it claims it will burn an image..

Can you start k3b from a console window, so you should be able to see any commands and errors generated by it in the console, and if there are errors or messages, then post that here? You haven't provided enough info to go on here.
