K3B Output Error in Ubuntu12.04 Burning Blu-Ray Disc

Hello to all & TY for opening my mind to Linux OS. I transferred my important things to external HDD & recently wiped XP Pro off of my self built PC & installed Ubuntu 12.04. I'm truly impressed with it & was able to install Time & Chaos 8 & transfer db's w/Wine.
My 1st question is, after trying to burn a 40GB Blu-ray disc w/K3B I received this error while writing was almost finished on DL BR disc, "Unable to Write @ LBA=f80220h:output error".
I had googled & searched for a solution unsuccessfully. I did make some adjustments under the advanced gui settings for cdrecord & such.
Anyone have a clue as what to do?
I'm familiar with the "terminal" but am a neophyte at writing anything to it & have only used it w/copy & paste info.
Thank you in advance ;-)

You've seen this then after Googling?

Did you try upgrading cdrecord and setting to "multisession" as advised?

Otherwise I'm afraid I've no idea. I didn't know K3d burned BlueRay disks, now I do! :)

That was the page.

Thanks, that was the page that I read. But after reading your reply, it only makes sense to have "multisession" enabled w/DL !? Makes sense & I'll have to try that. BTW, how would I go about updating the "cdrecord"? Thanks much!

Like I said, I don't really know but I'd dig out the Synaptic package manager from deep within the menu things (I don't know if I like Unity yet!) and search for 'cdrecord'

Good luck!
