Question Just installed LiveCD but terminal will not initialize

My first with Linux. I just installed Morphix LiveCD.

Problem is the terminal will not initialize---the error is:

"There was an error creating the child process for this terminal"

When checking the System Monitor the Process name "gnome-terminal" is listed.

Any help would be appreciated.

have you tried any otyer terms? ie. xterm aterm rxvt?

Smile loaded ubuntu and no problem
No terms would launch. A friend loaded same LiveCD on an older intel box and it works fine. I loaded Ubuntu liveCD today and it works fine with my ibm t30 laptop.

by the way i did google it

could have been a bad burn, did ya check the md5?

Or, might have been some weird hardware conflict..

Glad you got it sorted out.

Why did ya have your heart set on Morphix?
