Just installed Gentoo Linux --- Problems during bootup---

Hello, I am an ex-Windows user that has just switched over to Gentoo Linux. During bootup, I am coming across several different errors. The display towards the end looks like this:

missing kernel or user mode driver i810-tco
... can't load module hw_random
missing kernel or user mode driver hw_random
...can't load module ich2rom
missing kernel or user mode driver ich2rom
...can't load module i810-tcp
missing kernel or user mode driver i810-tco
... can't load module hw_random
missing kernel or user mode driver hw_random
...can't load module ich2rom
missing kernel or user mode driver ich2rom
...can't load module i810-tcp

Also, during bootup, I get the following message:

You need to set /etc/hostname to a valid hostname

However, at the end of this all, I am still able to log in to my system as either the root or a user. I am not too sure if the errors I mentioned above are serious or not. Could you please enlighten me here? Any advice on how I could go about fixing these problems would be greatly appreciated. Thanks alot for your time.

theyre not serious. You can completley ignore the ones about the modules, unless some of your hardware isnt working. Most likley, you compiled those bits into the kernel. The one about /etc/hostname isnt serious either, but easy to fix and you should. Just do

echo HOSTNAME > /etc/hostname

where HOSTNAME is your hostname, example: "localhost" (the example will work fine too, unless you want something cooler. What you put in there doesnt really matter)

And gentoo owns. woot on =]

Here is that module http://www.kernelconcepts.de/products/i810-tco/ like mootoo said nothing to worry about,if you don't need it,you can get rid of it when you do another kernel or check in /etc/modules.conf
