Very informative, OP.

1) What version of Fedora?
2) What archiecture?
3) What version of JDK?

Think about it next time you post, and try to include as much information as possible. Your question is more likely to be answered if there is sufficient information in it for someone to be able to help you.

Here is the easy way to install all those nasty little programs that Fedora doesnt include OOB. Just install that, click "Install Java" and let it do its thing. If this does not work for you, then answer the questions above and we can supply you with instructions/links on how to do it manually.

As AlucardZero mentioned, this is a very popular question, and has been anwered all around the internet. A quick search of a popular engine will provide you with some results, Im sure.
