Java Programming with KDevelop?

I was wondering if someone could walk me through compiling a simple Java application in Kdevelop. I have been using it for weeks now with C, Python, and PHP, but now with Java I cannot figure out how to compile it. With all of the other languages, there is a button available to execute the program, giving me the output. However, with Java, all I can do is build it, but not execute it. Am I missing something here?

I don't know anything about KDevelop, but you could try downloading the NetBeans IDE3.6 from http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html and use that to compile and execute java programs.

Im currently downloading that now actually, 38% done. I really would prefer not to have to use a second IDE, but I guess I will if I have to.
