ln mozilla /usr/bin is not a symbolic link, but a hard link. In this case the link isn't followed, but it is like a copy of mozilla, but without wasting hd-space on it.
The command you need is
$> ln -s /usr/local/mozilla/mozilla /usr/bin/

did you copy /usr/local/java/jre<version>/plugin/i386/ns610-gcc32/* instead of /usr/local/java/jre<version>/plugin/i386/ns610/* to your plugin directory. This is an often made mistake.

Well, I removed the plugin from the ns610-gcc32 folder and copied the plugin from the ns610 folder into the /usr/local/mozilla/plugins folder. Now I get the error:

INTERNAL ERROR on Browser End: No manager for initializing factory?

System error?:: Success

Thanks for fixing my ln problem, now it works.

the ns610-gcc32 plugin is the one that is causing mozilla to crash everytime it tries to load a java site and it is the one that I cpoied into the plugin folder.

I know, but still this will be the one you need...

I am asking you another time, what output is there on the command line when you visit the site with the ns610-gcc32 plugin.
I had the same problem some time ago on mdk9.2 with the java plugin, because there was some lib missing.
