I have downloaded java from the sun website followed the instructions and made the symbolic links but can't get firefox or mozilla to recognize that java is there even with java enabled in preferences and files present in the plugins folders. using the test site fails.I am using Fedora core 5. Any suggestions on how I can get this to work?
And you can always check whether you have java-plugin installed in your Firefox browser by typing "about : plugins" in the address line.
