java and flach for mandrake 10.0

I believe there is a flash player 7 for linux.

If you go to the macromedia website they have instructions for Firefox.

It may be that they're already installed (depending od MDK version). But if not...
http://www.java.com/en/download/linux_manual.jsp choose RPM version. Also download the manual.

http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/...ShockwaveFlash

In both cases, follow the manuals. It should just work. If not, post the errors you get.

not working

I have installed java and there wasnt any problem. then closed all the browsers. and opened again. But still there is no java support. Should I restart computer?

Have you copies the plugin to your browser plugin directory? It's not done by default for most browsers. Simply copy (or symlink) libjavaplugin_oji.so (the name depends on Java version, should be similar) to Firefox plugins/ dir. Then restart Firefox and you should have the plugin in about:plugins.

java ok

OK I solved the problem.

I think there is something wrong with the java version.

Firstly I have installed jre versiton of java from java web site but didnt work, then tried j2re and it works perfectly. But there is no turkish characters in java. How can I solve this problem? thanks

Mara 03-07-2006 05:06 PM

What's the problem with Turkish caracters exactly? Do they work in program menus, for example, or you can input them? Or maybe both?

aydindemirci 03-08-2006 04:22 AM

java

When java starts, I cant see turkish characters on java applet. I tried to solve it but couldnt find. I can input turkish characters.

Mara 03-08-2006 05:01 PM

Check the font the applet's using. It may simply not have the characters.

I cant find

I have looked for it in java plug in control panel but there is nothing about characters. If there is not, how can I install add on for characters? thanks
