Angry Java!!

OK, here's the problem...

I've got RedHat 7.2 installed, I downloaded the Java Binaries from Sun. Which directory do I install them into? I installed them to /usr/local, /usr/java, etc... and none of them work. I'm trying to install LimeWire and it keeps saying that I don't have a Java VM installed, where does it need to go?!?

HELP!

Thanks in Advance,
Aaron

LimeWire gave me the heebee-geebees when it griefed on me about my java. I even tried IBM's Java2 and still it wouldn't work. IMHO LimeWire would just have left a greasy stain on my soul - so I ditched it and played with GTK-Gnutella for a while.

I didn't have any problems getting LimWire to work... although.... I do think it is very, very slow. But it is Java.

You can install it anywhere you want. Did you make sure that the java executable is in your PATH?
export PATH=$PATH:path_to_java
Have you defined the JAVAHOME variable (I'm not sure that is necessary with Java2)?
export JAVAHOME=path_to_java
