Ive made my way to llinux

Just this afternoon FedEx dropped off my pc from Second Wind PCs and i installed Mandrake 9.2 onto the 13 GB hard Drive. and i am so lost -- i have become a little familiar with the OS but still have a long way to go. Can someone point me to some newbie documentation for Mandrake 9.2 to help me become more linux savy. Thanks

Pat

I have the Mandrake handbook thingie, and it's not very good. I like getting big, thick computer books (when I have the money). Check out this thread and follow the link to the review section:

I'm not sure what you mean by "I am lost". It's very, how should I put it, undefined. Mandrake 9.2 is quite easy to get around. If you have specific problems, or specific tasks you need to do, you could name them, and I'll try my best to help. Otherwise, just browsing around this site (both the Mandrake-specific theads and general ones), is, I think the best resource for a newbie.

hey!!! glad to see you made it back!!! it's confusing, yeah, and it's not windows, which is ok too. check this site out. it helped me with a lot of the basic stuff...

and search here for any question you come up with, cause chances are very good someone here has already asked it and it's been answered many different ways...

umm i know it's probably a dumb question, but did u read mdk online-documentation?
there are 3 different guides (discovery, starter, command-line) and they're not bad - they helped me before i installed mdk a few months ago.
